Dark Roast
Dark roasts go by many names. As a result, buying a dark roast can be confusing. Some of the more popular designations for a dark roast include French Roast, Italian Roast, Espresso Roast, Continental Roast, New Orleans Roast, and Spanish Roast.
Dark roasted coffees are dark brown in color, like chocolate, or sometimes almost black. They have a sheen of oil on the surface, which is usually evident in the cup when the dark roast coffee is brewed (keep it the same).
They also have a lower caffeine content so you can enjoy them without feeling the sourness in your stomach!
The longer they're roasted-the less bright flavors will be present which makes dark-roasted coffees better suited for those who don't want their drinker experiencing any bitterness or harsh tones.
