Our Story

In 2007, Blind Dog Coffee Roasters was founded in Reno, Nevada, by the resilient Mark Berry. After overcoming childhood cancer and years of radiation treatments that threatened his eyesight, Mark refused to let his circumstances define what was possible.

By his 49th birthday, Mark was legally blind. With the support of his family, he mastered the art of coffee roasting and built Blind Dog Coffee into a symbol of resilience, determination and the courage to overcome adversity.

Mark and his family worked tirelessly to grow Blind Dog Coffee into a purpose-driven family business. The aroma of freshly roasted coffee came to represent triumph and the strength of their family bond.

As Mark retires, he passes Blind Dog Coffee to his family, leaving behind a legacy that reaches far beyond coffee beans. The Blind Dog story is a blend of determination, love, community and the pursuit of something extraordinary.
